Bristol Credit Union (BCU) is a not-for-profit co-operative, helping local people save and borrow at fair rates. BCU is the largest credit union in the South West, with over 12,600 members, and is widely respected across the credit union sector for their progressive nature and commitment to providing excellent services to members, many of whom would otherwise lack access to traditional banking services.

The brief

Created by Bristol Credit Union, Money@Work is an employee benefit scheme that can help support employees’ financial wellbeing by offering affordable loans and savings directly from an employee’s salary. BCU had a brand but were in need of a website to help support their marketing activity for the new scheme.

Our response

Working closely with the BCU team we created a structure for the new website and then set about translating the vibrant Money@Work brand into website designs. The website utilises the Wordpress CMS, enabling the organisation to create and update content throughout the site easily and quickly.

  • By taking advantage of Wordpress’ Gutenberg feature, which allows users to build web pages using a choice of flexible pre-styled content blocks, we added to the default library with a series of bespoke content blocks designed to suit BCU’s needs. This enabled us to create a simple, visually attractive website in the first instance, which could easily be expanded and grow as required over the next few years as the scheme develops.
